Meet Candy-O

Candy-O, a Cars Tribute Band was formed to realize the vision of creating a worthy and mesmerising tribute to The Cars.

Candy-O was formed  in Portland Oregon in 2010 ,they breath the tone and accuracy of The Cars into every song, with spot on delivery of all The Cars’ radio hits as well as many other timeless album cuts.
Candy-O is the complete experience of The Cars’ live performance in every way with unique energy and vibe.

Many tribute bands, in addition to playing the music of an artist or group, also try to emulate the vocal styles and overall appearance of that group, to make as close an approximation as possible, with their spot on vocals, sound and looks, Candy-O are probably the best Cars Tribute Band out there.

The Cars were an American rock band that emerged from the new wave scene in the late 1970s. The band originated in Boston, Massachusetts in 1976, with singer, rhythm guitarist and songwriter Ric Ocasek, singer and bassist Benjamin Orr, lead guitarist Elliot Easton, keyboardist Greg Hawkes and drummer David Robinson.

The Cars were at the forefront in merging 1970s guitar-oriented rock with the new synthesiser oriented pop that was then becoming popular and which would flourish in the early 1980s.

The band broke up in 1988. In 2015, they were nominated for induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Candy-O’s lead singer and front man Randy reunited with his old band mate Rob, a skilled, experienced drummer. Guitarist John was added and brought insightful combination of solid lead guitar is an amazing likeness to Elliot Easton. Phil was then added and his Talented keyboard skills and super theory has highlighted Candy-O’s uncanny likeness to that of The Cars. Filling out the line up, bassist Grant upped the ante and plays the Benjamin Orr role with trademark bass guitar rhythms.
